It was actually warm and sunny outside yesterday. In the Chicago area. In February! This is a nearly unprecedented happening. Thrilled as I was, I took advantage of my dinner break to run around outside, snapping photographs of the newly snow-free world and enjoying the smell of mud.
Of course, nothing is growing yet, so it wasn't perfect! And all I really got were shots of dead plants and stalks and a wee bit of sun flare because it was coming up on the golden hour at that point.
But still. Any photograph taken outside in February that is more warm tones than cool ones is a win in my book.
