Old Cameras

I mentioned to my mother that I was thinking about collecting old vintage film cameras. I already have a few...a non-functioning Polaroid SX-70, a functioning Polaroid One-Step, my father's old Canonet, and a Kodak Duaflex. I was really just wondering if she thought anyone else in our extended family might have any neat camera treasures hiding in the backs of closets...treasures that they might like to donate to my collection, ha!

She went one step further, however, as my mother generally does in any and every situation.

She and my father went to a huge outdoor antique and flea market this weekend and bought me FOUR cameras! :-O

In case you're counting, that means she effectively doubled my collection in one fell swoop. (Or swell foop, depending on your personal degree of whimsy.) After getting over my initial shock (and, I'll admit, a wee bit of annoyance at not getting to pick out my own new toys, ha!) I managed to find a place to display them all, on various shelves of the only bookcase in the house not already stuffed to the gills with books and knick-knacks.

Polaroid Model 80A

Kodak Duaflex II

Kodak Vest Pocket Hawk Eye

Kodak No.2 Autographic Brownie
